8TH SEPTEMBER 2001
WESTELLA & WILLERBY 2 V 1
BRIDLINGTON TOWN RESERVES
The game got off to a flying start for Westella and with less than a
minute
on the clock Rich Moore was sent clear down the left and side
footed the
ball passed the advancing keeper.
This got Bridlington going and they dominated for long periods of the
first
half without producing the final product.
The sides went in at half time with Westella one goal to the good and
coping
with everything Bridlington threw at them.
After early exchanges between the teams it was Eddie Turay who put
some
breathing space between Westella and Bridlington with a good climb at the
back post to head in from a set piece.
From this late stage in the game it was effectively over for Bridlington,
but they managed to get one back to set up a nerve wracking finish.
