A bright start to this cup game saw Jamie Robinson shoot just wide from
25
yards in the very first minute and Wainman heading wide for Ferriby a
minute
later.
A Westella corner was punched clear
only as far as Clark who headed
the ball back against the bar and Outram hit the post from the rebound. A
quick counter attack from Westella saw Chris Edmonds break clear of the
defence, he rounded the keeper but was dragged down by Wardale in the
Ferriby goal for a penalty. Wardale, surprisingly, was only booked.
Westella
were dealt a doulble blow when the Ferriby keeper saved Chris Edmonds
penalty. The wind picked up and spoiled any opportunity of quality
football.
It took a set peice from Ferriby to secure the win after a corner was
headed
in by Atkinson which took Ferriby through to the next round.
