Beverley Town 1 v 0 Westella & Willerby
Westella
suffered their second defeat in a week after falling behind to an early goal
from an ex Westella player. On a tight pitch with an excellent surface both
teams were able to pass the ball around. The
game came alive in the 8th minute after the Westella defence was
breeched down their left hand side and the ball came over for Laud to slot past
the advancing keeper. Westella struck back immediately as Darren McGrath was put
clean through but his shot was well saved by the keeper. Westella created half
chances from Gibson who headed over, Outram had a couple of shots well saved and
Platten had a low drive deflected wide. Beverley could have extended the lead 3
minutes before half time when
