Westella & Willerby 1 v 1 Bridlington Town Reserves
A good, hard fought match with the spoils shared. The first real chance came for Westella from a free kick 20 yards out. Mike Derbyshire hit a low hard drive aiming towards the bottom corner, however Leebetter got down well for Bridlington Town and tipped it wide for a corner. A long throw fell to Sansam but Leebetter saved his shot. Sansam broke through in the 32nd minute but was shot wide. In the 38th minute Harrison was through for Bridlington Town, however this was saved by Hershell-Smith. Turay came close to scoring in the 54th minute after the keeper put a good pass from Morrison wide. Tony Jackson (15 years old) on his debut broke the deadlock by breaking down the left, cutting inside and curling the ball into the far corner. It looked like Westella might hang on to the lead until in the 87th minute a long ball over their defence found Craig Palmer who brilliantly lobbed the keeper to make it one all.
