Westella & Willerby 0 v 1 Reckitts

A cagey start by both teams trying to find each other out. In the 13th minute a ball down the right found McMillan whose shot was saved by Bottomley in the Westella goal. McMillan then headed over from close range shortly after.

It was Gerahty who came closest to scoring in the first half after collecting the ball on the edge of the box, his turn and shot just skimmed the bottom of the post. The teams went in level at half time, neither willing to give an inch.

In the 55th minute Scot Morrison broke down the left and his shot was well saved by Khan in the Reckitts goal. The deadlock was broken on the hour after Gerahty collected the ball and shot into the top left hand corner of the net.

Westella struck back immediately after Herbert's ball split the Reckitts defence and Owen Robinson ran onto it but his goal bound effort was again well saved by Khan in the Reckitts goal. Westella continued to press but couldn't break down the visitors defence.
